Developing A Crew To Dominate
I’ve always heard that building a successful team requires you to surround yourself with people who are strong in areas where you’re weak.
On my quest to build an agency that dominates the non-standard auto insurance industry, I realize that this was something I need to do.
My first step of acknowledging my deficient areas was something that I had done a million times internally, but there was something different about writing them down and sharing them with my business partner.
Honestly expressing my weaknesses felt humiliating and empowering at the same time.
Humiliating because even though everyone says leaders aren’t supposed to know everything, at times I still feel the pressure to have all the answers.
And empowering because the action I’m putting to my self awareness is going to keep me from becoming a victim of my own limitations.
And that is exhilarating!
